Customized Special Training Course on

"WIND AND SOLAR RESOURCE ASSESSMENT TECHNOLOGY"

Exclusively for SNA’s Officials

held during 28^th February & 7^th March 2018

The ITCS Unit in association with WRA&O Unit had successfully conducted the Special Training Course on ‘Wind and Solar Resource Assessment Technology’ exclusively for SNA's Officials held during on 28th February to 7th March 2018. The 8 day course was attended by 18 participants from 9 State Nodal Agencies.

The syllabus of the course was framed to cover the various aspects of Wind and Solar Resource Assessment & Techniques. The lectures were delivered by the NIWE Scientists and Engineers and several external experts to transfer the complete knowledge on the titled course.

Besides the class room lectures, practical sessions were also arranged in NIWE laboratories and study visit to Renewable energy facilities were made available in the NIWE campus; and field visit to Wind Turbine Test Station / Wind Turbine Research Station, Kayathar for giving exposure on small and large wind turbine testing process, practical knowledge on working wind turbines apart from visiting wind farms in and around Kayathar / Kanyakumari.
